He asked why I am so nice...

I was taken back by that statement. "Why are you so nice?" Is that an accusatory statement? Is it a bad thing to be so nice? Anyone who has ever been close to me knows (at least I hope they do) that I would go to the ends of the Earth for those I care about. That is just the kind of person I am. My mom told me that when I was a child, I would always give away my candy to others before I would take some for myself. I would always give away the last piece if someone wanted it, even if it meant i didn't get any, the important part was that I got to share.
I have often been the person that would give up my wants and needs in order to satisfy someone else. I don't like to fight, and will often concede in argument in order to stop the fight. Often winning is just not that important, I would rather agree to disagree. I'm not claiming to be perfect and what I state about myself is not 100% the case, but is usually something I try to live by. I have found that when u are in a relationship, it works best if you give 100% of yourself to the other person, and if they do the same. Everyone is happy!!! No one is perfect, I have never claimed to be, but nice is what I am. So if you happen to be on the receiving end of my "niceness" consider it a compliment. It means that you mean the world to me, and that I would do anything for you. I never expect anything in return, that is not why I do what I do. I give because it makes me happy. Its how I show I care, it's how I show what u mean to me.
So when he asks why I am nice, my response is this....I am nice because you open doors for me. I am nice because my heart skips a beat when I see you staring into my eyes. I am nice because you are the hardest working person I know, who deserves a break in life, that you just don't get. And if I can help in anyway, its what I will do! I am nice because I would do anything to hear you laugh. I am nice because you have been hurt so bad, and I want you to know that the world is not all pain. I am nice because there is nothing I like more than talking with you for hours on end about nothing at all. I am nice because you fill up my gas, fill my tires with air, and offer to wash my car. But above all, I am nice because that's who I am, and I want to show you I care. To me, it’s up to you how you want to treat me. All I know is that I want to be the best I can be. This is why I treat people the way I do. Nice girl Pictures, Images and Photos

Girls Night

Photobucket

Macie and Amy don't have school tomorrow so they are spending the night at my house. They have the day off to go to the state fair, but Amy already went so we are hanging out here. We are watching Ellen and then we are going to watch Transformers cause the girls have never seen it all the way though so we are having movie night. Tomorrow we are going to hopefully go to lunch and "hang out." A few years ago Macie used to ask me to hang out with her, and when I would ask her what that meant, she would say, "you know take me to the mall...and buy me stuff." LOL I love my girls!

Im speechless

I was browsing through some pictures on photobucket a few weeks ago, looking for pictures that represented back pain for a blog i did a while back and I came across this image.

I wasn't sure what to say, and I still am not sure to say. Upon further research I found out that the back corset is not the only thing they are doing now days. They actually even have a rib corset too.

AGAIN, what is this world coming to?

How far is too far?

Imagine working in a spa as an aesthetician and having a mother phone to order a bikini wax... for her 10 year old daughter.

Not only would it hurt a lot, but it just sounds kind of stupid. But apparently "baby waxing" is the next big thing according to some mothers and spa workers.

Though not quite as popular as mani-pedi parties for toddlers, aestheticians are now scheduling more hair-removal appointments than ever for the under-12 set.

More mothers are pressuring the girls to look a certain way, and peer pressure doesn't help.

Diva Kids

Insults from classmates about a students body hair can damage a child's psyche quite a bit (especially if they have a bit of a unibrow). The pain of waxing off the offending eyebrow hair is nothing compared to the torment children's teasing can do. Unfortunately the teasing doesn't stop with facial hair. Kids make fun of how you dress, what brands you were, how your hair is done, etc and that can be very hard on kids, but kids are already beautiful. They don’t need anything. Besides, if you give them all this now, what do they have to look forward to?” Shouldn't we be instilling a sense of self worth in these kids, not telling them that if they don't like how they look we can run out and buy or fix whatever you want.

Renee Mancino, a real estate broker and mother of two in Hawthorn Woods, Ill., agrees. “My daughter is 15 now and we’ve been dealing with this issue since she was 10 or even younger,” says Mancino. “All these girls at her school have been getting eyebrow waxing, lip waxing, manicures, hair color … I just don’t go for it. My job is to feed, clothe, educate and love her. It’s not my job to buy her massages and highlights.”

It's critical that parents try to temper unrealistic beauty ideals instead of supporting them," says Alyson Shafer, a psychotherapist and parenting expert.

What I want to know, is what is this world coming to?

Seeing Stars

tattoos Pictures, Images and Photos Not me although i wouldn't mind if it was lol

A lot of people have things that are their favorite. Favorite team, favorite color, favorite number, favorite flower, and the list goes on. I happen to be in love with stars. I love the real stars as well as the shape and anything that has the shape on it. I am not into astronomy, or the Dallas Stars or even the Dallas Cowboys, but I will sport a Dallas cowboys hat because it has a star on it. Photobucket I don't know what it is about stars but I want to buy everything I can find with them. I'm not crazy and buying everything in sight, but i do have several pairs of star earings, a star bracelet, shirts with stars on it. There is just something about stars that are beautiful to me. I love looking at the stars in the middle of the night when the whole world seems quiet and its just me and the beautiful stars above. Does anyone else have something they just love or brings them peace like this?

"To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your own path, and don't worry about the darkness, for thats when stars shine the brightest!"

The Biggest Loser

One of my favorite shows on tv right now is The Biggest Loser. It's amazing to watch these people who have lived a sedentary life make the change for the better in order to better their lives. One of the personal trainers on the show is Jillian Michaels. She is a Satan reincarnate. This women is brutal. She is a no bull, take no prisoners kind of woman. She is not afraid to get in your face, yell and do whatever it takes to break down the mental barrier to make you succeed. She is the person you love to hate, but she will make do what it takes. Up until today im not sure I liked her at all, but she IS amazing, and she gets the job done. She is amazing, she looks amazing but she has put in the work to get that way. Sharon said she had gotten some of her DVD's and was going to start some of her work outs. She even has a book called Winning by Losing, im thinking about picking it up, I need all the help I can get.
